Hyundai Ioniq5 Electric SUV With 631km Range

The Hyundai Ioniq5 is the company’s first electric vehicle to be developed on its E-GMP platform. It will have a 72 kWh battery pack and an electric motor capable of 217 hp.

The India-spec Ioniq 5 has a claimed range of 631 km on a single charge. It supports an 800 volt charger and can be fast-charged from 0-80 percent in 18 minutes.

Powertrain

Hyundai has launched a new electric SUV in India called the Ioniq 5 that features a powerful 72.6 kWh battery pack. This enables the SUV to offer an ARAI certified range of 631 km on one charge.

The Ioniq 5 is based on the brand’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) which is designed specifically for battery electric vehicles. This allows for faster charging, increased driving range, more interior space and better handling.

It also has a powerful electric motor that produces 217 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. This enables the SUV to dash from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available in a variety of color options. Its exterior is a combination of a retro-futuristic design with sharp lines and subtle body work. The front headlights feature a unique pixelated look and the 20-inch turbine-style alloy wheels give it a sleek appearance.

Design

The Ioniq 5 comes with a unique exterior design that showcases a clear and precise body shape. Its clamshell hood and Z-shaped side character lines are distinctive elements that enhance its aesthetics. The rear fascia features a familiar pixel LED tail lamps and a rear spoiler.

IONIQ 5 also boasts of an exquisite interior that creates an open living space within the SUV. The dashboard has two 12.3-inch displays that can be used to access a wide variety of information at a glance.

The interior also features a movable center console that can be easily moved back by up to 140mm for increased passenger comfort. Additionally, the front seats are designed for unmatched comfort and leg support.

Engineered on E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) which enables the vehicle to maximize interior space for enhanced passenger comfort and flexibility, it comes with innovative safety solutions like a front energy absorption zone, an efficient front energy distribution structure and a battery protective structure.

The 72.6 kWh battery offers an ARAI-certified driving range of 631 kms, and supports fast charging from 10 % to 80 % in just 18 minutes. It also features unique V2L technology which supplies up to 3.6 kW of power to run external electronic appliances like bicycles, e-scooters and camping equipment.

The Hyundai Ioniq5 also comes with a plethora of safety features that include Level 2 ADAS such as Forward Collision Warning and Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control. It is also equipped with a simulated engine sound system, powered child lock and six airbags.
