Samsung Galaxy A24 Officially Confirmed

Samsung Galaxy A24 is a new mid-range smartphone from the South Korean manufacturer. The smartphone is reportedly set to be launched on March 24.

The Galaxy A24 will feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 1,000 nits peak brightness. It is also expected to come with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset.

6.5-inch Super AMOLED display

An official press release from Samsung Turkey recently confirmed the upcoming Galaxy A24, which was previously spotted on several certification websites. According to Turkish publication Gadgety, the device will feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of brightness.

AMOLED screens have a colour gamut that is 1.3 times larger than that of LCD panels for vibrant colours and perfect blacks. They also have a higher refresh rate than other display technologies, meaning you’ll get smoother motions and improved gaming performance.

48MP + 8MP + 5MP triple camera setup

According to a new leak, the Samsung Galaxy A24 Officially Confirmed will sport a triple camera setup on the rear. It will feature a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP depth sensor.

The phone will also come with Android v11 OS and One UI on top of it. It is also tipped to have a 5000mAh battery and VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

Aside from this, the upcoming smartphone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It will have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

MediaTek Helio G99 chipset

The Samsung Galaxy A24 has been spotted in Geekbench and it appears to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It looks like the company is opting for a less expensive chipset than the four-year-old Exynos 7904.

The MediaTek Helio G99 is an octa-core processor that was officially announced on May 23, 2022. The chip is built on TSMC 6nm process technology, and it promises to offer ideal performance, quality gaming experience, and improved battery life for 4G handsets.

The MediaTek Helio G99 sports 2 ARM Cortex A76 cores and 6 ARM Cortex A55 efficiency cores. The processor supports a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU that offers a superior gaming experience. It also includes the MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite game acceleration engine which dynamically manages the CPU, GPU, and memory to ensure optimal gaming performance.

4GB of RAM

Android devices come in a wide range of RAM sizes. At one end are high-end devices with as much as 12GB or 16GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, you’ll find cheaper variants with just 4GB of RAM. This is fine for basic multitasking, but not ideal for gaming or running multiple apps simultaneously.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 is now officially confirmed to feature 4GB of RAM. This is a big upgrade over previous rumors which suggested that the smartphone will get 2GB of RAM.

128GB of internal storage
