Xiaomi has announced a new offer that allows users to get up to three months of YouTube Premium free on select Redmi and Mi smartphones. These include the Redmi Note 11 series, and the Pad 5
The offer also includes Google One, a 6-month subscription plan that allows users to expand storage on their Android device. In addition, it comes with a free Magic Eraser feature that lets users remove unwanted objects from photos.
Free 6-month Google One subscription
As part of a special collaboration announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 event in Barcelona, Google is offering a free 6-month Google One subscription with the purchase of Xiaomi 13 Series smartphones. This will give buyers a chance to experience the company’s software magic and some exclusive features.
In addition, the new flagship phones will come with three major OS updates and five years of security patches. They will also support digital car keys and let you unlock your car using them or share the virtual key with other people.
Moreover, the company will offer up to six months of YouTube Premium with every smartphone. It will also provide one out-of-warranty repair without labour cost in the first year of ownership.
The Google One plans start from Rs 130 per month with 100GB of cloud storage. Besides, the plan provides access to Google experts and options to add up to 5 family members along with extra member benefits.
Free 2TB Google One storage
Besides three OS updates and five years of security patches, Xiaomi 13 Series also gets free 2TB Google One storage. That’s a pretty sweet deal considering it can be hard to find decent cloud storage at an affordable price these days.
In addition to that, a 6 month YouTube Premium subscription is also included in the package. That means ad-free access to YouTube and the YouTube Music app.
However, it’s important to note that this Google One offer is only valid if you activate your account before March 4th and reside in the US. Similarly, if you’re already signed up for the 2TB plan and live in the US, you’ll also get a Google Home Mini for free.
Currently, every Google account gets 15GB of free storage that is shared across Gmail, Drive and Google Photos. If you start using more than that, you can get a paid Google One subscription to help you get more storage. The subscription tiers range from 100GB for Rs 130 to 1TB at Rs 650, 10TB at Rs 3,250 and 20TB at Rs 6,500.
Free YouTube Premium
Google recently partnered with Xiaomi to give its 13 Series flagship smartphones, which debuted on February 26 ahead of MWC 2023 in Barcelona, a free YouTube Premium subscription. This offers ad-free streaming of YouTube and access to the YouTube Music app, among other benefits.
Users who own or purchase a qualifying device on or after February 1, 2022 will get free three months of YouTube Premium. This offer is also valid for owners of the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11s, and the Redmi Note 11T.
The Chinese company is also offering a free 6-month Google One subscription plan, which expands the storages of Google Drive, Photos, and Gmail. In addition, the 13 Series will come with 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security patches.
Free Magic Eraser
Google has introduced a photo-editing tool that makes it easy to remove unwanted objects in your photos. The Magic Eraser feature, previously limited to Pixel 6 and 7 phones, is now available to all Google One subscribers on Android and iOS devices.
In addition, Google is also introducing HDR video effects and new collage styles to Google Photos on iOS and Android devices. The Mountain View giant also enables Google One subscribers to apply Styles to a single photo in the app’s collage editor, which was previously only accessible through the desktop Google Photos app.
