With The Last of Us Part I launching on PC in less than a month, Sony and Naughty Dog have finally revealed all the system requirements and features for the game’s PC port. These include support for AMD FSR 2.2, Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution, and a suite of VSync and frame rate cap options.
With The Last of Us Part I launching on PC next month, Sony has released the game’s minimum and recommended system requirements. In addition to these, Naughty Dog has also shared details about some of the PC-exclusive features that players will be able to take advantage of.
For starters, the game will support a variety of mouse and keyboard setups that offer “full control remapping” and “a wide range of controllers,” including “dual sense” options. It will also feature “photo mode,” 3D audio, and a variety of accessibility features.
At the lowest end, the game requires a bare minimum of 16 GB of RAM to play. However, if you can afford to build a more beefy system with an RTX 4080 card, you should be able to play at 4K ultra settings with 60 frames per second.
If you’re planning to play the upcoming PC version of The Last of Us Part I, Sony has revealed the game’s system requirements and features. The PlayStation Studios title comes to Steam and Epic Games Store on March 28th, and offers the same main content as the PS5 release plus some additional features optimized for PC.
The PC port will support AMD FSR 2.2, Nvidia DLSS, photo mode, and more. It also has full DualSense functionality, including haptic feedback for wired controllers.
On the lower end, the game suggests a Radeon 470 or GTX 970/1050 Ti, which should be enough to play at 30fps in 720p resolution with low graphical settings. Those with more powerful setups can expect to get 60fps in 1080p with the High preset, and even at 4K with the Ultra preset, all thanks to an RTX 4080 or AMD RX 7900 XT graphics card.
While these requirements aren’t as outrageous as some other recent releases, they’re still a bit outlandish and might be a turnoff for some gamers. Players will need at least 16GB of RAM at the minimum tier, and up to 32GB in the Ultra and Performance tiers.
Naughty Dog and Sony have revealed The Last of Us Part I PC system requirements, including ultrawide support for both 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions. Additionally, the game will support AMD FSR 2.2 and Nvidia DLSS, which should provide PC players with a richer gaming experience than they’d get on consoles.
Moreover, the game will feature full controller remapping for mouse and keyboard setups. A variety of controllers will also be supported, including Sony DualSense haptic feedback and dynamic triggers.
In addition to the above-mentioned settings, The Last of Us Part I will also support four different presets ranging from Low (720p @ 30FPS) to Ultra (4K @ 60FPS). To run these presets on a modern CPU and GPU, players will need at least a Ryzen 5 3600X or Core i5-12600K processor, 16GB of RAM, and a GeForce RTX 2070/RX 7900XT graphics card.

Despite the fact that these requirements aren’t as crazy as some other recent PC releases, like Square Enix’s Forspoken, they will require quite a bit of juice to get to work. In addition to the high-end graphics, this remaster will also utilize some ray-tracing magic.
To play the game at a high resolution, you’ll need at least an Intel Core i5-6400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor, 16GB of RAM, and a free hard drive space of 150GB. If you have the cash, however, you can opt for a beefy 32GB RAM, a 3.4GHz quad-core CPU, and a DirectX 11 compatible GPU with 8GB of VRAM. The Optimum system specs show off the most impressive graphical abilities with a hefty amount of detail turned on and playing in 4K at 60fps.
