Resident Evil 4 Free Demo Reportedly Coming Tomorrow

Resident Evil 4 is set to be a major addition to the Capcom franchise. The remake will feature a modernized gameplay and reimagined storyline.

It will also include PlayStation VR2 support. Earlier today, Capcom confirmed that development on a virtual reality version of Resident Evil 4 has started.

A free demo for the game is reportedly coming tomorrow, according to VGC. It’s likely to be released shortly after the Capcom Spotlight event ends.

The Chainsaw Demo

The Resident Evil 4 demo is still live on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PC, and it’s a great way to experience this modern reimagining of the 2005 survival horror classic. The demo is free to download and can be played repeatedly, which gives you plenty of time to try out the game’s new combat mechanics.

It’s also packed with secrets, including a special difficulty mode that ratchets up the game’s difficulty. This secret “Mad Chainsaw Mode” drastically increases the difficulty, makes enemies tougher and stronger, changes their spawn points, disables checkpoints, and even buffs the chainsaw-wielding boss.

However, the demo’s secret hard mode is exclusive to it, and won’t be available in the final game. You can get it by typing a specific code on either platform, but you need to know how to use it correctly.

Release Date

If you want to play an early section of Resident Evil 4 before the game’s launch, you can get it today for free. The demo, known as the “Chainsaw Demo”, takes place when Leon first enters a European village.

According to Capcom, it has no time limit and can be played as many times as you like. In addition, the demo is a great way to familiarize yourself with the new gameplay changes and mechanics added to the remake.

To get the Chainsaw Demo, head to your console’s relevant store and search for Resident Evil 4. Once you have found it, click the Download button to load the demo onto your system.

Resident Evil 4 is one of the most famous survival horror games of all time, and Capcom has remade it for modern audiences. The new version brings an overhauled gameplay experience with a more immersive over-the-shoulder perspective and improved graphics. It also introduces a host of new side quests and exploration options.

Getting Started

There is a free demo for Resident Evil 4 Remake, which is set to release tomorrow. According to VGC, some Twitch users are currently receiving ads that conclude with “Demo Available Now.”

Considering that the Capcom Spotlight event is scheduled for March 10 at 3:30 am IST, the demo should be released at or around the same time. The event will feature details for new and upcoming titles, including Resident Evil 4 Remake, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Remaster, Exoprimal, and more.

The demo features a new ‘Mad Chainsaw Mode’, which allows players to run through the game’s opening sequence at full speed. This will allow fans to experience the beginning of the game, where Leon infiltrates a creepy village in Spain.

Final Words

Resident Evil 4 is set for release in just two weeks’ time and Capcom has a free demo for you to try out ahead of its arrival. This new demo, known as the Chainsaw Demo, sees Leon confronting the villagers in the village sequence of the original game.

It is a little different from the normal RE4 demos that have been released in the past, because this one does not have a timer, meaning you can play it as long as you like without worrying about dying. You can even take a break and craft items to help you out along the way.

The Chainsaw Demo also introduces players to some of the reworked gunplay in the remake, as well as some of the new visual fidelity that Capcom has been implementing into the game. This is certainly one of the most action-focused RE4 demos that we’ve played, so it’s worth a look if you’re a fan of the series.
