iPhone 15 Pro Max Might Come With Thinner Bezels Than Xiaomi 13

A new leak claims that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max might come with thinner bezels than Xiaomi 13, which has the current record for thinnest smartphone bezels.

That’s because the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have bezels that are just 1.55mm wide, according to Twitter leaker Ice Universe. That’s far thinner than the 1.81mm bezels on the Xiaomi 13 and the 1.95mm bezels on last year’s Samsung Galaxy S23.

1.55mm Bezels

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max could feature the thinnest bezels on a smartphone, according to a leaker who goes by Ice Universe on Twitter. The device is expected to come with bezels that measure only 1.55mm, which would beat the current record holder for thinnest bezels on smartphones, the Xiaomi 13, which has bezels that measure only 1.81mm.

This is a very small difference by pure size, but it would be a huge win for Apple. A slimmer bezel would make it easier for the notch to fit into the phone’s design, and it also means that the screen-to-body ratio of the device would improve.

While this might seem like a minor improvement, it could be a sign that Apple is preparing to launch the next generation of iPhones with premium features. The company is rumored to be working on a new titanium frame for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, along with other hardware improvements.

2. 1.81mm Bezels

Apple is reportedly working on the next-generation iPhone 15 Pro Max, and this smartphone might come with thinner bezels than the Chinese manufacturer’s Xiaomi 13 model. A popular tipster known as Ice Universe recently tweeted that the new iPhone will have a cover plate black bezel width of 1.55mm, which will break the record for the thinnest bezels held by the Xiaomi 13.

The rumored iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to feature a USB-C port and will sport a frosted titanium alloy middle frame. These changes should help reduce the overall bezel on the device by around 30% compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This might come at a price, though. Recent rumors have suggested that Apple is preparing to raise the prices of its iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max models, which could be its first price hike at the top end since the iPhone X launched in 2017.

3. 1.95mm Bezels

A new leak claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max may come with thinner bezels than the current record holder, the Xiaomi 13. According to respected tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a black bezel width of 1.55mm, which is less than the 1.81mm border on the Xiaomi 13 and much thinner than last year’s Galaxy S23.

In addition, Ice Universe says that the bezels on the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be slightly curved around the edges like the Apple Watch. This could give the phone a display-like appearance, but we’ll have to wait and see how it turns out.

The iPhone 15 Pro series will be announced later this year, and we’re sure to hear plenty about it. The upcoming handsets are expected to sport a bump in camera hardware, adoption of USB Type-C port, and design upgrades. But one rumor that’s particularly exciting is the possibility that the high-end models will ditch clickable volume and power buttons and instead adopt solid-state ones similar to those on Apple Watch Series 8. This might help to reduce bezel thickness even more.

4. 2.17mm Bezels

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max may be coming with the thinnest display bezels of any smartphone. A reputable tipster known as Ice Universe has recently claimed that the cover plate black bezel of the upcoming device will measure only 1.55mm.

This bezel width is much thinner than the 1.81mm bezels on the Xiaomi 13, which holds the current record for the thinnest smartphone bezel. This might be a smart move for Apple as it would help boost the premium image of the device and enhance its marketing appeal.

It’s also worth noting that the bezels on the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be much slimmer than those on last year’s Galaxy S22, which have 2.17mm thickness. This would certainly be a good feature for Apple to brag about during the iPhone 15 series launch.
