Asus Unveils New Smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
Asus is set to unveil their upcoming flagship phone, the Zenfone 10. As its successor to their popular Zenfone 9 model, this latest release from them may include significant upgrades. Geekbench recently posted details about it revealing key components such as processor speed and RAM capacity configurations.
According to leaked listings, the new Asus device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 16GB of RAM. Android 13 will come installed preinstalled, making the phone dual SIM capable with support for 5G connectivity.
On the rear is a 200MP OIS camera equipped with an ultra-wide lens capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps and high-resolution photos at 80MP. Furthermore, there will be a 6.3-inch FHD+ display featuring Gorilla Glass Victus protection as well as a 5000mAh battery unit that supports fast charging at 67W.
As previously discussed, the Asus Zenfone 10 will be a dual-SIM phone equipped with 5G support, expected to retail for around Rs. 50000 and showcased at an event in Taipei on June 29. Ultimately it should go on sale sometime later this year.
Asus Zenfone 10 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display offering 120Hz refresh rate, along with both 256GB and 512GB storage options, all powered by a 5000mAh power unit capable of supporting fast charging at 67W speeds.
One of the Snapdragon 8 Generation 2’s hallmark upgrades is its “Ray Tracing” technology, designed to enhance gaming experiences through more realistic visuals while lowering power consumption overall.
MySmartPrice noticed the Geekbench listing, which revealed that the new Asus Zenfone will score 2,028 points in single-core tests and 5,454 in multi-core. Furthermore, this benchmark points towards dual camera setup being present on this handset.
